Founded in 1996 by Marielena Mencia and Yanis Pikieris as the Mencia-Pikieris School of Dance. Their emphasis is on classicism in its traditional form. Ms. Mencia and Mr. Pikieris' philosophy and goals for each student include: to instill discipline of the body and mind, to strive for perseverance, and to learn to love, respect and enjoy dance as an art form, whether or not a career is chosen.



Our school is staffed by professional teachers with years of experience.  We are committed to presenting and participating in various youth-oriented productions and, also provide an end of the year performance as well as an intensive summer dance workshop.

The Miami Youth Ballet offers an array of dance curriculums including Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations, Jazz, Contemporary, and Conditioning for students of all ages.
