Sally Isaacks was born
in
Miami
and began her dance training with Thomas Armour and Robert Pike at the Miami
Conservatory. She studied at the San Francisco Ballet and Boston Ballet and
was a member of the Boston Ballet II. Ms. Isaacks joined Miami City Ballet
as a founding member in 1986 and rose to the rank of principal dancer
dancing a wide number of roles in the company's extensive repertoire. She
has performed throughout Europe, South America and the United States.
In 1997 she danced at the Kennedy Center Honors as well as dancing Le
Corsaire for the Blueridge Ballet Festival. In 2000 she performed in the
Balanchine Celebration in Washington
D.C.,
and in the summer of 2002 she performed with Cirque du Soleil in "La Nouba"
as the ballerina. Ms. Isaacks joined Maximum Dance Company as a principal
dancer in October 2001. She currently serves as Programs Director for the
Miami Youth Ballet.
